| Project Brief | Dong Hai 1 Wind Power Project – Phase 1 involves the construction of 10 x 3.8 MW and 3 x 4 MW offshore wind power plants at Long Dien Dong commune, Dong Hai district, Bac Lieu province, Viet Nam. The main purpose of this project activity is to generate clean form of electricity through renewable wind energy sources by using wind turbines. The total installed capacity and estimated annual power generation is 50 MW and 176,526 MWh, respectively. The project activity will be connected to national grid via 110 kV transformer. The project activity generates clean renewable electricity using wind energy and displaces electricity that otherwise would have been supplied by grid connected fossil fuel fired power plants. Thus, the project activity leads to reduction in GHG emissions annually at 151,740 tCO2e and 1,517,399 tCO2e over the 10 years crediting period. |
