Project Brief

The project activity involves generation of electricity by harnessing the solar energy by using of solar photovoltaic technology and there by feed the generated electricity to the Indian national grid. Project activity involves installation of 5 MW Solar photovoltaic Power plant in Mahesri Village, Haridwar district of Uttarakhand State in India. The project activity is commissioned on 31/03/2017 and is operational. The generated power from the project activity is supplying to UPCL through the long-term Power Purchase agreement with UPCL.

The project will approximately replace an estimated anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG’s) 6,743 tCO2e per year, thereon displacing estimated of 7,446 MWh/year amount of electricity from the generation-mix of power plants connected to the Indian grid, which is mainly dominated by thermal/fossil fuel based power plant. Project activity will mitigate the total GHG emission reductions of 67,438 tCO2e over the total crediting period
