Project Brief | Özmen-1 SPP has been established and operated by Soleil Yenilenebilir Enerji Tic. A.Ş. The project involves installation and operation of a 14 MWe solar power plant. The project are is located in Milas District, Muğla/Turkey. The annual generation is expected to be 35,316 MWh according to generation licence. The average annual emission reduction estimated for this project is 22,892 tonnes of CO2. During the crediting period, 228,920 tonnes of CO2 are expected to be reduced. |

Opinion | The GCC Project Verifier EPIC Sustainability Services Private Limited, certifies the following with respect to the GCC Project Activity Renewable Solar Power Project in Milas, Muğla. The Project Owner has correctly described the Project Activity in the Project Submission Form (version 04, dated 01/11/2022) including the applicability of the approved methodology AMS-I.D. Grid-connected renewable electricity generation, version 18.0 and meets the methodology applicability conditions and is expected to achieve the forecasted real, measurable and additional GHG emission reductions, complies with the monitoring methodology, has appropriately conducted local and global stakeholder consultation processes and has calculated emission reductions estimates correctly and conservatively. The Project Activity is likely to generate GHG emission reductions amounting to the estimated 22,892 tCO2e per year, as indicated in the PSF, which are additional to the reductions that are likely to occur in absence of the Project Activity and complies with all applicable GCC rules, including ISO 14064-2 and ISO 14064-3. The Project Activity is not likely to cause any net-harm to the environment and/or society and complies with the Environmental Standard (Environmental No-net-harm Label (E+)) and Social Safeguards Standard (Social No-net-harm Label (S+)) The Project Activity is likely to contribute to the achievement of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Gold SDG Label, complies with the Project Sustainable Standard, and contributes to achieving a total of 4 SDGs. The Project Activity complies with all the applicable requirements of the GCC Program and ICAO’s requirements on CORSIA Emissions Unit Eligibility Criteria and CORSIA Eligible Emissions Units, as per Clarification No 1., v1.3 paragraph 23-25, and the ACCs expected to be issued during the crediting period is likely to be CORSIA eligible and can be used by International Airlines for offsetting their emissions during all phases of CORSIA and therefore requests GCC Steering Committee to append CORSIA Certification label (C+) to this project. For carbon credits issued during 23/10/2020 to 22/10/2030. Host Country Attestation on Double Counting is not required for CORSIA labelled credits. The Host Country Attestation on Double Counting will be provided during the first or subsequent verification, when the issuance of carbon credit is considered beyond 1st Jan 2021. The Project Activity complies with all the applicable GCC rules and therefore recommends GCC Program to register the Project activity with above mentioned labels. |
