Project Brief

Susuz Regulator and Hydroelectric Power Plant (HEPP) with a capacity of 7.1 MWe in total,  generates clean energy by using the hydropower and provides the energy to the Turkish national grid. By implementing the project, investors also aim to reduce dependency to the fossil fuels thereby reducing the sources of environmental pollution. Susuz Regulator and Hydroelectric Power Plant has been implemented and operated in compliance with the Law no: 6446 on Electricity Market Law No:6446.

The project activity will generate greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions by avoiding CO2 emission from electricity generation by fossil fuel power plants connected to Turkish National Power Grid. Total installed capacity included by the GCC project is drawn as 7.1 MWe. The average annual generated energy is expected to be 21,460 MWh according to the generation values.

The total emission reduction for the whole crediting period is calculated as 16,705 tCO2e and respectively total of 167,059 tons of CO2.
