Project Brief

The project activity includes construction, installation and operation of a grid connected biomass power plant which was established by Mavi Bayrak Doğu Enerji Üretim A.Ş. in Derik district, Mardin province in Turkey. The electricity produced by project activity will result in average emission reduction of 375,561 tons of CO2e for fixed crediting period. 

The purpose of the project is to reduce environmental pollution from biomass residues by using those wastes for clean energy production and increase the energy security of Turkey with the development of local industries, by enabling the industrialists to use cheaper energy and to gain an advantage in the competitive environment.
