Project Brief

The Purpose of this project activity is to generate electricity by harnessing the wind energy by using wind turbines and thereby feeding the generated electricity to the Indian national grid. The Project activity has installed the Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) to convert the available wind energy into electric power. The project owner has awarded through competitive bidding process (followed by reverse E-auction) from 500MW grid connected wind power projects to be setup in the state of Gujarat as per the Request for selection (RfS) no. GUVNL/Competitive/500MW/Wind dated 15/06/2017 and had been successfully awarded with 29.9MW wind power projects by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited – GUVNL.

The project is implemented and owned by Betam Wind Energy Private Limited. Project activity is located in morbi district of Gujarat with installed capacity 29.9 MW. The project is already commissioned and is currently in operation.

Project activity is expected to generate annual average electricity of 94,573 MWh per annum and reduces an annual average emission reductions equivalent to 88,048 tCO2 and 880,479 tCO2 for the 10-year crediting period.
