Project Brief

Yangjiawan Hydropower Plant is a hydro power project with total installed capacity of 60MW, locates in Jinchuan County, Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province, P.R. China. The project is invested and operated by Sichuan Xiaojinchuan Hydropower Co., Ltd.

The project installs three sets of hydroelectric generators with unit capacity of 20MW. The purpose of the project is to utilize the hydro resource at the project site to generate and supply electricity to Central China Power Grid (CCPG).

The project boundary is considered as the CCPG according to applied tool.

Prior the implementation of the project, the electricity delivered to the grid by the project activity would be generated by the operation of grid-connected power plants and by the addition of new generation sources into the CCPG.

The project is a renewable energy project and is expected to supply 243,421 MWh of zero-emission electricity to CCPG, which will replace power generation of those fossil fuel-fired power plants delivered to the CCPG under the baseline scenario. The project is expected to achieve a greenhouse gas emission reduction of 139,248 tCO2e annually. The total emission reduction during the fixed 10-year crediting period will be 1,392,480 tCO2e.
