| Project Brief | The Kapıdağ WPP is an increase capacity addition wind power plant located in Balıkesir Province of Turkey owned by Kapıdağ Rüzgar Enerjisi Elektrik Üretim Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. The generation license of the project was issued by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) on 12/12/2006 for 49 years. The project has an installed capacity of 14.4 MWm/6.85 MWe and the annual generation is estimated to be 48,800 MWh. The purpose of the Project is to produce renewable electricity using wind as the power source and to contribute to Turkey’s growing electricity demand through a sustainable and low carbon technology. The project will displace the same amount of electricity generated by the grid dominated with fossil fired power plants. The annual emission reduction estimated by the project is 31,632 tonnes of CO2. |
