Project Brief

The project activity involves the installation of Solar Power Project in Punjab state of India. The purpose of the project activity is to generate clean electricity with utilization of solar energy. The total installed capacity of the proposed project activity is 150 MW. The solar power project is promoted by Azure Power Pluto Pvt. Ltd., an SPV of Azure Power India Private Limited.

The project activity will replace anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG’s) estimated to be a total of 2,378,860 tCO2e over the total 10 years crediting period or average 237,886 tCO2e per annum, thereon displacing 2,555,167 MWh amount of electricity over the 10 year crediting period or average of 255,516 MWh/year amount of electricity from the generation-mix of power plants connected to the Indian electricity grid, which is mainly dominated by thermal/ fossil fuel-based power plant.
