Project Brief

Project activity involves installation of wind power generation project in Bhavnagar district of Gujarat with installed capacities of 50 MW. The Project activity has installed the Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) to convert the available wind energy into the electric power.

The project is implemented by Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited. The project is commissioned and is currently in operation. The generated power from the project activity is supplied to the third-party consumers (Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited- GUVNL) through the wheeling agreement with the DISCOM. Project Owners have signed a Power Purchase agreement with the consumer organizations to supply the generated wind power at contracted unit of price.

Additional Information

The project replaces anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG’s) estimated to be
approximately 92,146 tCO2e per year, thereon displacing estimated annual average of 99,029
MWh/year amount of electricity from the generation-mix of power plants connected to the Indian grid.
Project activity will mitigate the total GHG emission reductions of 921,468 tCO2e over the entire
crediting period.
