Project Brief

Project activity involves installation 16 MW of Solar photovoltaic power generation project in Chitradurga district of Karnataka State of India. The Project activity has installed the Solar Photovoltaic based Panels to convert the available solar radiation into the DC power and there by installed the Inverters to convert the DC power to the AC Power. The project is implemented by Walwhan Renewable Energy Limited (formerly called as Welspun Renewable Energy Pvt. Ltd). The project is commissioned on 16/04/2016 and is currently in operation. The project has been connected to the National Grid through the locally available 66/11 kV at Rampura substation.

Additional Information

The project will replace anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG’s) estimated to be approximately 25,277 tCO2e per year, thereon displacing estimated annual average of 27,165MWh/year amount of electricity from the generation-mix of power plants connected to the Indian grid. Project activity will mitigate the total GHG emission reductions of 252,773 tCO2e over the entire crediting period.
