The project ‘BioD Energy India Project’ is located at Plot No, 2-5 Sector-9, Phase –I &III, IMT, District Bawal, State- Haryana and Country India. The Company is involved in primarily manufacturing pure Bio-Diesel with waste oil/fat oil through efficient collection and recycling infrastructure and glycerine is collected as by product. The Capacity of the project is 100 TPD. The main products manufactured from the Company are Biodiesel and Glycerine. 

The manufactured Biodiesel (B100) is of European Standard EN 14214 or Indian Equivalent IS 15607 from the multiple feedstock (especially waste/used vegetable oils) in India. The produced Biodiesel have the same chemical property as that of High Speed Diesel in India with ZERO SULPHUR. The project activity is a eco-friendly manufacturing of combustible Bio Diesel. The project activity is commissioned and operational till date. The total emission reductions achieved from the project activity is 62,146t CO2/Annum and accounts to 621,461t CO2 for the entire crediting period.

Additional Information

The Project is proposed for an envisaged capacity of processing 100 Tons per day (TPD) of Waste Vegetable Oil (WVO), 13 Tons per day of Methanol and 1 Ton per day of Catalyst (Potassium Hydroxide or Sodium Hydroxide) into 100 Tons per day (TPD) of fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) commonly known as Bio-diesel (B100) and 10 Tons per day of Glycerine. In the process methanol and water is also obtained, which after distillation is re-used in the process

VERIFICATION OUTCOME
Opinion

The project 'Biod Energy India Project' has been planned to manufacture Bio-Diesel to meet the growing energy needs of the country. The products manufactured include bio-diesel and glycerine, which are produced using multiple feedstock sources such as waste vegetable oils, used cooking oil etc. The produced biodiesel would replace the diesel in stationary applications, as well as blended biodiesel would replace the petroleum diesel used in the baseline scenario. The produced biodiesel has same performance as that of a diesel. The PA utilizes trans-esterification process, which can process any free fatty acids (FFA) raw material to yield biodiesel in accordance with European standard EN 14214 standards. The Production facility has a capacity of producing 100 tons/days of biodiesel, along with 10 tons/day of glycerol as a by-product. The plant will be operated for 300 days in a year and hence the plant has annual capacity of 30,000 tons/year of biodiesel and 3000 tons/year of glycerol.

The project activity is located in plot number 2-5, sector-9, in Phase 1 & 3 of Bawal district of Haryana, India with the GPS coordinates being 28o05’03”N/ 28.084167 76o34’54”E/ 76.581667

The start date of the project activity is 13/02/2019. The emission reduction from the project activity is estimated to be 62,146 tCO2e (annual average) per year and 621,460 tCO2e over the crediting period.
