The proposed Project Activity is a bundled new grid-connected 133 MW solar power plant/unit at a site where no renewable power plant was operating prior to the implementation of the project activity (green-field plant). The Project Activity has been implemented in states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in India by Jilesh Power Private Limited - 45 MW, Vishvarupa Solar Power Private Limited - 10 MW, Zuka Power Private Limited - 48 MW and SEI Greenflash Private Limited - 30 MW and is a SPV under Greenko Solar Energy Private Limited, which is a sister company of Greenko Energy Private Limited. The bundled project activity is allotted to the project owner through state government competitive bidding process. The electricity generated from Project Activity that converts sunlight into electricity using photo voltaic modules is exported to the integrated Indian grid. The electricity generated by the Project Activity thus replaces the equivalent amount of electricity generated by the operation of existing grid connected power plants, mostly fossil fuel based power plants and by addition of new fossil fuel based plants. The Project Activity thus reduces the anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs) into the atmosphere. The annual average net electricity generation from the project activity is estimated to be 207,946 MWh over the ten year crediting period.
