Project Brief

The proposed Project Activity is a bundled new grid-connected 36 MW solar power plant/unit at
a site where no renewable power plant was operating prior to the implementation of the project
activity (greenfield plant). The project has been implemented in state of Telangana in India by
Premier Photovoltaic Medak Private Limited (PPMPL) with capacities 8 MW at Digwal, 8 MW at
Sankapur, 10 MW at Chennur & 10 MW at Talamadla. Hence the state of Telangana is considered
as geographical area and the Solar plant along with its connection to grid is the project boundary.
The project is a SPV under Greenko Solar Energy Private Limited, which is a sister company of
M/s Greenko Energies Private Limited. The bundled project activity is allotted to the project owner
through state government competitive bidding process. The SPV names are changed to M/s
Premier photovoltaic (Medak) Private Limited from M/s Saimeg infrastructure (Medak) private
Limited, M/s Premier Kurnool solar private limited and M/s Saimeg infrastructure (Nizamabad)
private Limited. The electricity generated from Project Activity using solar radiation energy that
converts sunlight into electricity using solar PV modules is exported to the Indian grid there by
displacing the consumption of electricity from the regional grid electricity distribution system.
