The GCC Project Verifier, Carbon Check (India) Private Ltd, verifies and certifies that the GCC Project Activity “226.8 MW Wind Power Project at Amidyala in Anantapuram district, Andhra Pradesh, India.”:

(a)   has correctly described the Project Activity in the Project Submission Form (version 1.4, dated 08/07/2024) including the applicability of the approved GCC methodology, GCCM001, version 4.0 and meets the methodology applicability conditions, is additional and is expected to achieve the forecasted real and additional GHG emission reductions, complies with the monitoring methodology, has appropriately conducted local and global stakeholder consultation processes and has calculated emission reduction estimates correctly and conservatively;

(b)   is likely to generate GHG emission reductions amounting to the estimated 4,621,726 tCO₂e (for the fixed 10 years crediting period), as indicated in the PSF, which are additional to the reductions that are likely to occur in absence of the Project Activity and complies with all applicable GCC rules and therefore requests the GCC Program to register the Project Activity;

is not likely to cause any net-harm to the environment and/or society and complies with the 

(a)   Environmental and Social Safeguards Standard, version 3.0 and therefore requests the GCC Program to register the Project Activity, which is likely to achieve the requirements of the Environmental No-net-harm Label (E+) and the Social No-net harm Label (S+); and

(b)   is likely to contribute to the achievement of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), comply with the Project Sustainability Standard, version 3.0 and contribute to achieving a total of 3 SDGs, which is likely to achieve the Silver SDG certification label (SDG+).

(c)    complies with all the applicable requirement of the GCC Program and ICAO’s requirements on CORSIA Emissions Unit Eligibility Criteria and CORSIA Eligible Emissions Units, as per Clarification No 1., v1.3 paragraph 23-25, and the ACCs expected to be issued during the crediting period from 31/07/2017 till 31/12/2020 of this project activity is likely to be CORSIA eligible and may be used by International Airlines for offsetting their emissions during CORSIA Pilot Phase (2021-2023). As the project activity is a grid-connected renewable electricity generation project with a capacity exceeding 15 MW, it is not eligible for the CORSIA (C+) label for the First Phase (2024-2026), in accordance with the applicable CORSIA eligibility requirements.

The Verification report describes a total of 39 findings, which include:

• 10 Clarification Requests (CLs);
• 29 Corrective Action Requests (CARs)

All findings are resolved by the project owner.
