| Project Brief | The Sorang Hydro-Electric Project is a 100 MW run-of-river hydro-electric project which has been implemented by Himachal Sorang Power Private Limited, Shimla in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India. The project activity will utilise water of the Sorang Khad, a major tributary of the Satluj River, to export approximately 467,364 GWh of electricity per annum to the national grid of India, which will result in a reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of approximately 424,718 tonnes CO2e per annum. |
