Project Brief

The project activity of Manchukonda Agrotech Private Limited consists of installation of a 5 MW biomass-based electricity generation plant in its existing rice mill (started operations after the commissioning of power plant) located at Chicksugur village, Raichur District, Karnataka, India. The project activity would meet the complete demand of power requirement of the rice mill to the extent of 1 MW. Remaining generated power from the power generation plant after adjusting the auxiliary power will be exported to the national grid. In case of shut down of power plant, electricity required by the rice mill will be imported from the grid. The excess power generated from the biomass plant up to an extent of 4 MW will be supplied to the GESCOM (Gulbarga Electricity Supply Company Limited) through Indian national grid. Project Owner has signed a long-term power purchase agreement with GESCOM to supply the generated power from the biomass power plant.
