Project Brief

The project involves installation of 15MWac (18MWdc) solar PV plant at Achampet town, Nagarkurnool district (Now, the village achampet where the project is situated falls under the district of Nagarkurnool due to the “Formation/Reorganization of Districts” dated 11/10/2016), Telangana, India by Rudra Solarfarms Private Limited (RSPL). Amp Energy Markets India Private Limited will act as project owner as per GCC definition for the project. The electricity generated from project activity is sold to DISCOM. Thereby the project replaces equivalent amount of electricity generated by the operation of existing/ grid connected power plants (mostly fossil fuel-based power plants) and by addition of new generation sources into the grid.

Additional Information

The crediting period chosen for the project is from 22/06/2017 to 21/06/2027. The project is expected to generate approx. 29,168 MWh of electricity annually. The annual estimated emission reductions from this project activity are 27,155 tCO2e/annum. Total number of emission reduction estimated to be generated throughout the 10 years crediting period is 271,551 tCO2e.
