Project Brief

Da Bac 4 Solar Power Plant has been built and connected to the power grid with a capacity of 50MW at Da Bac Industrial zone, Da Bac commune, Chau Duc District, Ba Ria – Vung Tau province in Viet Nam. The project was built for the purpose of providing electricity for the entire Ba Ria Vung Tau province and the whole of Vietnam. The project also aims at a larger goal of creating a premise for the development of clean energy in Vietnam in accordance with the general orientation of the Government, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Electricity of Vietnam. Project activity is commissioned on 06/06/2019 and successfully operational from the date of commissioning.

The project will replace average anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG’s) estimated to be approximately 63,809 tCO2e per year, thereon displacing estimated average of 74,460 MWh/year amount of electricity from the generation-mix of power plants connected to the national grid, which is mainly dominated by thermal/fossil fuel-based power plant. The project activity reduces 638,097 tCO2e emissions during the entire crediting period.
