Project Brief

The proposed project activity is the installation of a new grid-connected 15 MW wind power plant/unit at a site where no renewable power plant was operating prior to the implementation of the project activity (green-field plant). The project activity is wind power project which is being implemented in Pratapgarh, Rajasthan of India by Wonder Cement Limited. The electricity generated from Project Activity is exported to the Wonder Cement Plant situated in Nimbahera, Rajasthan via Wheeling. The project activity is displacing the consumption of electricity for running the cement plant from the regional grid electricity distribution system.

Additional Information

The electricity generated by the project “15 MW Wind Energy Project by Wonder Cement in Rajasthan” will thus replace the equivalent amount of electricity generated by the operation of existing grid connected power plants (mostly fossil fuel-based power plants). In this scope, Wonder Cement Limited planned to install 15 MW wind turbines in with the purpose of contributing to the national economy. The estimated annual average electricity generation by the project activity is 4,415 MWh.
