Aslanlı Van Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. has constructed the Aslandağı Beyyurdu Hydro Power Plant Project. The aim of the project is to produce electrical energy to the Turkish national grid. Aslanlı Van Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. constructed a hydropower plant in Şemdinli district, Hakkari province, Turkey. The project includes 2 sections which are Aslandağı HPP and Beyyurdu HPP. Aslandağı HPP where 3 units included has been installed, but only 2 of the units have been commissioned where they have 4.850 MWm / 4.710 MWe installed capacity for each. The other unit where it will have 1.350 MWm / 1.310 MWe capacity has not been commissioned yet and it is planned to be commissioned at 01/01/2023. The other section which is Beyyurdu HPP includes 2 units where they will have 4.355 MWm / 4.215 MWe capacity for each. This section of the project is planned to be installed and commissioned at 01/01/2023. The total capacity of commissioned units is 9.700 MWm / 9.420 MWe. Annual electricity production is expected to be 54.770 GWh for Aslandağı HPP according to the generation license. After 01/01/2023, the total capacity of the project will be 19.760 MWm / 19.160 MWe, and the annual electricity production is expected to be 111.400 GWh. The generation license is signed on 27/05/2021. The average annual generated electricity is expected to be 54,770 MWh up to 01/01/2023, and 111,400 MWh after this date and the emission reduction is estimated around 58,717 tCO2e per annum. For the entire crediting period, 587,170 tonnes of CO2 are expected to be reduced. |
