Project Brief

Youshui Luoshuidong Hydropower Station Project (hereafter referred to as “the project”) is located in the middle reaches of the North source main stream of Youshui, the primary tributary of Yuanshui river. The dam site is located at the exit of longzui River Canyon at the junction of Baiyang Township, Longshan County, Hunan Province and Lvshui Township, Laifeng County, Hubei Province. The main purpose of the project is using the hydro potential available in Youshui river to generate electricity. The installation capacity of the Project is 35 MW, generating approximately 111,670MWh annually and provide net power of 106,300MWh to the grid per year. The power density and plant load factor (PLF) of the project are 12.43W/m2 and 36.42% respectively. The Project will be connected through Hunan Provincial Grid to the Central China Power Grid (CCPG) and substitute the CCPG’s fossil-fuel-fired power generation with an annual amount of 60,803 tCO2e emission reduction.
