| Project Brief | The Project Owner has installed 990 MW bundle wind-solar hybrid power plant consisting of two bundle of 390MW and 600MW projects. The proposed Wind-solar hybrid Project, 390MW is located in Madhopura, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan and 600MW is located in Kajasar, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. In the absence of the project activity, no renewable power plant was operating prior to the implementation of the project activity (green-field plant). The project boundary involves hybrid bundled solar and wind power plant and the generation system that is connected to the Indian grid. The project activity involves setting up of wind and solar hybrid power project to harness their energy to produce electricity and supply to the grid. In the absence of the project activity, the equivalent amount of power would have been supplied by the Power plants in the Indian grid, which is fed mainly by fossil fuels plants. The project activity is wind-solar hybrid power project which is being implemented in Rajasthan, that supplies power to the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), i.e., in-line with the Guidelines for Tariff based Competitive bidding process for the procurement of power, from grid connected project. The power generated from the project activity is fed via the substation to the Indian National Grid, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emission into the atmosphere. The amount of power generated is 3,252,150 MWh/year and have achieved emission reduction of 3,026,126 tCO2e/Annum that is equivalent to 30,261,260 tCO2 for the entire crediting period of 10 years. |

| Opinion | 4K Earth Science Private Limited has been contracted by the project owner “Adani Green Energy Limited” to undertake project verification of the project activity “Renewable Power Project in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan-2” in India. The verification was performed based on rules and requirements defined by GCC for the project verification. The project involves installation and generation of electricity from 990MW bundled hybrid (Solar+Wind) power project activity Project-1 comprises 390 MWAC hybrid capacity installed by M/s.Adani Hybrid Energy Jaisalmer One Ltd and Project-2 comprises 600 MWAC hybrid capacity installed by M/s.Adani Hybrid Energy Jaisalmer Two Ltd and M/s. Adani Hybrid Energy Jaisalmer Three Ltd. The electricity generated from project activity is exported to the Indian grid in India through power purchase agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI), there by displacing electricity from the grid which would be generated by the operation of grid-connected power plants and by the addition of new generation sources into the grid. The project activity is estimated to generate an average of 3,252,150 MWh/year electricity and displacing 3,026,126 tCO2e/year. The project correctly applies the approved baseline and monitoring GCCM001 Version 4.0, and is assessed against latest valid PS, VS and Environment and Social Safeguards Standard, Project-Sustainability-Standard and/or other applicable GCC/CDM Decisions/Tools/Guidance/Forms. The project activity is likely to achieve the anticipated emission reductions stated in the PSF provided the underlying assumptions do not change. The expected emission reductions (annual average) from the project activity are estimated to be 3,026,126 tCO2e/year over the 10 years fixed crediting period starting from 12/08/2022. 4K Earth Science Private Limited has verified and hereby certifies that the GCC Project Activity “Renewable Power Project in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan-2”: · has correctly described the Project Activity in the Project Submission Form (version 5.0, dated 24/06/2025) including the applicability of the approved methodology GCCM001 Version 4.0/9/ and meets the methodology applicability conditions, is additional and is expected to achieve the forecasted real measurable and additional GHG emission reductions, complies with the monitoring methodology, has appropriately conducted local and global stakeholder consultation processes and has calculated emission reduction estimates correctly and conservatively; · is likely to generate GHG emission reductions amounting to the estimated 30,261,260 tCO2eq over the fixed crediting period of ten years, as indicated in the PSF/27/, which are additional to the reductions that are likely to occur in absence of the Project Activity and complies with all applicable GCC rules, including ISO 14064-2 and ISO 14064-3, and therefore requests the GCC Program to register the Project Activity · is not likely to cause any net-harm to the environment and/or society and complies with the Environmental and Social Safeguards Standard, version 3.0/4/, and therefore requests the GCC Program to register the Project Activity, which is likely to achieve the requirements of the Environmental No-net-harm Label (E+) and the Social No-net-harm Label (S+); and · is likely to contribute to the achievement of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), comply with the Project Sustainability Standard, version 3.1/5/, and contribute to achieving a total of 3 SDGs, which is likely to achieve the Silver SDG certification label (SDG+). |
