Project Brief

The purpose of the project is to help Turkey to stimulate and commercialize the use of grid connected renewable energy technologies and markets. Furthermore, the project will demonstrate the viability of grid connected solar farms which can support improved energy security, improved air quality, alternative sustainable energy futures, improved local livelihoods and sustainable renewable energy industry development. The solar power projects are connected to Turkish National grid.

Additional Information

Over the first 10 years crediting period, the project will replace anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG’s) estimated to be approximately 12,030 tCO2e/year and 120,305 tCO2e for throughout the crediting period of the bundle project, thereon displacing 18,543 MWh/yr amount of electricity from the generation-mix of power plants connected to the Turkish grid, which is mainly dominated by thermal/fossil fuel-based power plant.
