Project Brief

TThe purpose of the project is to help Türkiye to stimulate and commercialize the use of grid connected renewable energy technologies and markets. Furthermore, the project will demonstrate the viability of grid connected solar farms which can support improved energy security, improved air quality, alternative sustainable energy futures, improved local livelihoods and sustainable renewable energy industry development. The solar power projects are connected to Turkish National grid.

Additional Information

Over the first 10 years crediting period, the project will replace anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG’s) estimated to be approximately 11,964 tCO2e/year for the bundle project, thereon displacing 18,441 MWh/yr amount of electricity from the generation-mix of power plants connected to the Turkish grid, which is mainly dominated by thermal/fossil fuel-based power plant. The estimated emission reductions during the crediting period of the project activity are considered to be 119,647 tCO2e.
