Project Brief

Gonghe 100 MW Wind Power Project (hereafter referred to as “the project”) is a wind power project with total installed capacity of 100MW. The project is invested and operated by Gonghe Chaidamu Energy Development Co., Ltd. The project is located in Dongke village and Taxiu village, Qieji Town, Gonghe County, Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, China.

The project is connected to Northwest China Power Grid(NWCPG) and

is expected to supply  176,012MWh of zero-emission electricity to NWCPG annually during the fixed 10-year crediting period, which will displace power generation of those fossil fuel-fired power plants delivered to the NWCPG in the baseline scenario. The project is expected to achieve GHG emission reductions of 137,166 tCO2e annually. The total emission reductions during the fixed 10-year crediting period reaches 1,371,660 tCO2e.

The project is expected to contribute to 3 SDGs which are SDG 7, 8 and 13.
