Project Brief |
Xinjiang Hami Wind Power Base Phase II Southeast Wind Zone Jingxia 5A Wind Farm 300MW Project (hereafter referred to as “the Project”) is a wind power project with total installed capacity of 300MW. The Project is invested and operated by SDIC Hami Wind Power Co., Ltd.. The Project locates about 125km southeast of Hami City, Xinjiang Autonomous Region in P.R. China. The purpose of the Project is to utilize the wind energy at the project site to generate and supply electricity to Northwest China Power Grid (NWCPG). The spatial extent of the Project boundary includes the project power plant and all power plants connected physically to NWCPG that the project will be connected to. Prior to the implementation of the Project, the electricity delivered to the grid by the project activity would be generated by the operation of grid-connected power plants and by the addition of new generation sources into the NWCPG. The Project is expected to supply an annual average of 724788MWh of zero-emission electricity to NWCPG during the fixed 10-year crediting period, and is expected to achieve a green-house gas emission reduction of 564,287tCO2e annually. The total emission reductions during the fixed 10-year crediting period will be 5,642,870tCO2e. The Project is expected to contribute to 4 SDGs which are SDG 7, 8, 9 and 13. |
