Project Brief

Kaskelen 50 MWp Solar Power Plant Project is a solar PV power project with total installed capacity of 50.83884MWp, locates in about 6 kilometers southwest of the village of Zhanaarna, Almaty State, the Republic of Kazakhstan. The project is invested and operated by Mistral Energy LLP, which is the subsidiaries of Kaskelen Solar LLP. The purpose of the project is to utilize the solar energy at the project site to generate and supply electricity to Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company (KEGOC).

The project is a renewable energy project and is expected to supply an annual average of 67,289 MWh of zero-emission electricity to KEGOC during the fixed 10-year crediting period, which will replace power generation of those fossil fuel-fired power plants delivered to the KEGOC under the baseline scenario. The project is expected to achieve a green-house gas emission reduction of 46,954 tCO2e annually. The total emission reductions during the fixed 10-year crediting period will be 469,541 tCO2e.
