Project Brief

Kozbükü HEPP is a new built hydroelectric power plant project, located in Ordu Province, Turkey owned by Nas Enerji A.Ş. The generation license of the project was granted in 09/03/2017 for 49 years. The project has an installed capacity of 83.57 MWm/81.08 MWe and annual generation is estimated to be 260,568 MWh.

The purpose of the Project is to produce renewable electricity using hydrology as the power source and supply electricity to Turkey’s national grid to contribute to Turkey’s growing electricity demand through a sustainable and low carbon technology. The project will displace the same amount of electricity generated by the grid dominated by fossil fuel fired power plants. The annual emission reduction estimated by the project is 148,680 tonnes of CO2. During the crediting period, 1,486,800 tonnes of CO2 are expected to be reduced. The Project consists of 4 units each having an installed capacity of 20.892 MWm/20.270 MWe. Total installed capacity of the project is 83.57 MWm/81.08 MWe.
