| Project Brief | 2017 No. 2 Project Shouyang PV Power Forerunner Hub (Songtai Town) (hereinafter referred to as “the proposed project”) is located in Shouyang County, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province, the People’s Republic of China. The primary objective of the proposed project is to generate renewable electricity to meet the ever-increasing demand in the Shanxi Province and the North China Power Grid (NCPG). The proposed project is a greenfield project with a capacity of 100 MW. Annual power delivered to grid is expected to 141,621MWh. Greenhouse gas emission reduction of estimated 117,106 tCO2e per year can be achieved. |

VERIFICATION OUTCOME
| Opinion | The GCC Project Verifier EPIC Sustainability Services Private Limited certifies the following with respect to the GCC Project Activity titled 2017 No. 2 Project Shouyang PV Power Forerunner Hub (Songtai Town). The Project Owner has correctly described the Project Activity in the Project Submission Form (version 3.0, dated 28/04/2022) including the applicability of the approved methodology GCCM001, version 2.0 and meets the methodology applicability conditions and is expected to achieve the forecasted real and additional GHG emission reductions, complies with the monitoring methodology, has appropriately conducted local and global stakeholder consultation processes and has calculated emission reductions estimates correctly and conservatively. The Project Activity is likely to generate GHG emission reductions (annual) amounting to the estimated 117,106 TCO2e , as indicated in the PSF, which are additional to the reductions that are likely to occur in absence of the Project Activity and complies with all applicable GCC rules, including ISO 14064-2 and ISO 14064-3. The Project Activity is not likely to cause any net-harm to the environment and/or society and complies with the Environmental and Social Safeguards Standard, and is likely to achieve the following labels: Environmental No-net-harm Label (E+) and Social No-net-harm Label (S+) The Project Activity is likely to contribute to the achievement of United Nations Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs), complies with the Project Sustainability Standard, and contributes to achieving a total of [4] SDGs, with the Gold SDG certification label (SDG+) The Project Activity complies with all the applicable GCC rules and therefore recommends GCC Program to register the Project activity with above mentioned labels. |
