Project Brief

The project activity involves the installation of 50 MW (25 wind turbine of 2 MW each) Wind Power Plant located in Jungshahi, District Thatta, Sindh Pakistan. The aim of the project is to generate electricity from renewable source of energy (wind) and feed to the connected national electricity grid of Pakistan which leads to reduction in GHG emissions. The project activity involves the development, construction and operation of a Greenfield Wind power plant by Indus Wind Energy Limited. The estimated annual average power generation, by the project activity, for the next 10 years is 166,440 MWh, which is exported to the national grid of Pakistan. It will result into annual average ACCs of up to 95,686 tCO2e and a total of 956,863 tCO2e ACCs over 10-year period. The generated ACCs will be utilized to offset GHG emissions.
