| Project Brief | The project activity involves installation 300 MWAC grid connected solar photovoltaic project comprising 6 different blocks/units of 50 MW each. The project is implemented in Karnataka State of India by Adyah Solar Energy Pvt. Ltd. The electricity generated from the project activity is exported to the Indian grid in India. The electricity generated by the project activity thus replaces the equivalent amount of electricity generated by the operation of existing/ grid connected power plants (mostly fossil fuel-based power plants) and by addition of new generation sources into the grid. The project was awarded through tariff based competitive bidding process conducted by Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) and subsequently long-term power purchase agreements were executed for 25 years between Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) and Adyah Solar Energy Pvt. Ltd. |
