Dereköy Regulator and Hydro Power Plant project has been developed by Reis RS Enerji Elektrik Üretim Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. The purpose of the project is to help Turkey to stimulate and commercialize the use of grid connected renewable energy technologies and markets. There are no purposes such as irrigation and flood control. It provides cheaper energy for industrialists and therefore, it gains advantage in the competitive environment.

Additional Information

The average annual generated energy is expected to be 11,950 MWh and the project will be able to deliver a reduction in emissions of around 6,634 tCO2e (tons of carbon dioxide equivalent) per annum. Over the first 10-year crediting period, the project will replace anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG’s) estimated to be approximately 66,340 tCO2e.
