Project Brief

Yozgat Landfill Gas to Electricity Project, developed by the ITC-KA Enerji Üretim Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.” (hereinafter referred to as the “project owner”) and it is located at Yozgat Solid Waste Landfill Area in Merkez District of Yozgat Province in Türkiye. The landfill receives the waste of approximately 418,500 people living in Merkez, Yerköy, Sorgun, Sarıkaya, Çekerek, Aydıncık and Şefaatli Districts of the Yozgat Municipality.

The project activity is operational with one gas engine with a total installed capacity of 1.415 MWe. The activity is expected to generate approximately 9,905 MWh/year of electricity to be delivered to the Turkish national grid which is mainly dominated by fossil fuel-based power plant.

The Project activity is expected to result in annual average emission reductions of 20,614 tCO2e and cumulative emission reduction of 206,140 tCO2e over the crediting period.
