Project Brief | The project is a biomass utilization project that is to use rice husk for generation of thermal energy. The project activity involves installation of new Boiler unit of 12TPH. The generated steam is being used to meet the captive demand of Goodrich Carbohydrates Limited. In the absence of project activity, the boiler would utilize coal to fulfil its thermal Energy demand which was expected to cause emission of emissions of greenhouse gases. The project activity consumes 19,198 tonnes of rice husk per year which generates approximately 193 TJ/year of steam. The project will replace anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG’s) estimated to be approximately 25,978 tCO2e per annum. |
