Project Brief

Güce Hydro Power Plant has been developed by Güce Tekkeköy Enerji Üretim A.Ş. The project area is located in Tekkeköy village, Giresun Province, Güce District, Eastern Black Sea Basin of Turkiye. The aim of the project is to generate only electrical energy, and it does not have other purposes such as irrigation and flood control. This investment carried out in a very underdeveloped region of Türkiye; It has contributed to meeting the country's energy need, which is increasing every year, creating an important employment area in the development of industrial and construction activities in the region, and starting an important economic revival thanks to such investments in the region where agricultural land and other job opportunities are limited. The project consists of 2 units each having 6.62 MWm / 6.355 MWe. Total installed capacity is 13.24 MWm / 12.71 MWe as per the capacity allowed in generation license due to the grid capacity allocation. Annual electricity production is expected to be 44.540 GWh according to the generation license.
