| Project Brief | Parque Punta Sierra Wind Farm Project is a wind power project with total installed capacity of 80 MW. Project is invested and operated by Pacific Hydro Punta Sierra Spa. The project locates in Chile's Region IV, 316km north of Santiago (the main energy demand centre) and 143km south of Coquimbo (a major port). The project is a renewable energy project and is expected to supply an annual average of 276,800 MWh of zero-emission electricity to SIC during the fixed 10-year crediting period, which will replace power generation of those fossil fuel-fired power plants delivered to the SIC under the baseline scenario. The project is expected to achieve a green-house gas emission reduction of 138,123 tCO2e annually. The total emission reductions during the fixed 10-year crediting period will be 1,381,230tCO2e. |
