Project Brief

The Project Activity is the installation of a new grid-connected 515 MW heterogenous bundle solar project at a site where no renewable power plant was operating prior to the implementation of the project activity (green-field plant). The project activity is located across the two states of India namely, Gujarat and Rajasthan.

The electricity generated from project activity is connected to the Indian grid. The project activity thus reduces the anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs) associated with equivalent amount of electricity generation from the existing grid connected power plants (mostly fossil fuel based) and from addition of new generation sources into the grid.

Additional Information

The project shall result in replacing anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG’s) estimated to be approximately 11,121,913 tCO2 throughout the crediting period i.e. 1,112,191 tCO2 /year, thereon displacing 1,195,262 MWh/ year amount of electricity from the grid.
