Project Brief

The propose project activity is the installation of a new grid-connected 50 MW Solar power plant at the site where no renewable power plant was operating prior to the implementation of the project activity (green-field plant). The project activity is solar power project which is being implemented by Magnet Buildtech Private Limited in Punjab. The electricity generated from Project Activity is exported to the Indian grid there by displacing the consumption of electricity from the regional grid electricity distribution system.

The electricity generated by the project will thus replace the equivalent amount of electricity generated by the operation of existing grid connected power plants (mostly fossil fuel-based power plants). In this scope install Solar Panels in with the purpose of contributing to the national economy.

Additional Information

The annual estimated emission reductions for the project activity are 71,049 tCO2e.
