Project Brief

The proposed project activity, the 14.921 MW Bundled Solar PV Power Project, aims to establish a new grid-connected solar power plant in Gujarat, India. This green-field plant will be the first renewable power facility at the site. By replacing electricity consumption from the regional grid, the project will export generated electricity to the Indian grid.

The implementation of this project will result in the displacement of electricity that would have otherwise been generated by existing grid-connected power plants, primarily fueled by fossil fuels. Consequently, the project's electricity generation will lead to the avoidance of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. It is estimated that the project will generate an average of 24,834 MWh of power per year.

To monitor the project's impact, a crediting period of 10 years was chosen. Over this period, it is anticipated that the project will contribute to an overall reduction of approximately 221,060 tCO2e of GHG emissions. On an annual basis, the project activity is expected to achieve an estimated emission reduction of 22,106 tCO2e per year.
