Project Brief	The Castilho Solar Power Renewable Energy Project consists in the implementation and operation of a new solar photovoltaic electricity generation complex. The complex includes five facilities that together have 205 MW of nominal power capacity. The facilities mentioned above are located in Castilho municipality, in the state of São Paulo in the southeast of Brazil. The total area occupied is 690 hectares and 499,380 solar panel modules are in place, what makes this complex the largest in the state of São Paulo. The project activity is deliver renewable electricity to the National Interconnected System (Sistema Interligado Nacional – SIN). This implementation and operation of this project activity promotes GHG emission reductions by displacing fossil fuel-based electricity generation that would otherwise occur. This project contributes to 7 SDGs, which are 1, 7, 8, 9,11, 12, and 13.
