Project Brief

Project Activity: installation of the wind turbine with capacity 1.8 MW for electricity generation for own consumption

Project Site: the Nesvizh district of the Minsk region, Belarus.

Year of implementation – 2019.

Period of emission accounting/crediting – 27.02.2019 – 26.02.2027.

Estimated GHG emission reduction/stock increasing per year – 700 tones CO2-eq.

Methodology that could be applied –  AMS-I.D.: Grid connected renewable electricity generation -Version 18.0.

Brief description of the project: in 2019 in the Nesvizh district, enterprise called Agrokombinat Nesvizhsky installed at its own expense the wind power plant (wind turbine) with a capacity of 1.8 MW for electricity generation. Electricity generated by this wind turbine is used for own consumption of the enterprise without being sold to the grid at the feed-in-tariff. The total investment amounted to 126,000 US dollars. The construction of wind turbine resulted in the displacement of electricity generated by fossil fuels power plants in the amount of 1,949 MWh per year, which is equivalent to reduction of GHG emissions by 700 tons of CO2-eq. per year.
