Project Brief

Implemented with the objective of generating clean energy (electricity) by harnessing renewable energy (solar) resources and curbing the emission of greenhouse gas, the proposed project activity includes bundled grid-connected Solar Power Projects with a cumulative capacity of 1.61 MW ac by different installers. Carbon Clean which is managing the O&M part of the project is developing this project as a GCC project

The electricity generated from project activity (operational solar power plants) is exported to the Indian grid, thus replacing the feeding of an equivalent amount of electricity generated from the operation of existing grid-connected power plants (mostly fossil fuel-based). The project activity thus reduces the anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs) associated with the equivalent amount of electricity generation from the existing grid-connected power plants (mostly fossil fuel-based) and from the addition of new generation sources into the grid.

Additional Information

The project activity involves the installation of a 1.61 MW AC grid-connected rooftop solar PV plant in the state of Rajasthan by Carbon Clean under a net-metering arrangement.  Solar power generated by the project will be used for the project proponent’s own use and export as well.
