Project Brief

The Purpose of this project activity is to generate electricity by harnessing the solar energy by using of solar photovoltaic technology and there by feed the generated electricity to the Indian national grid. Project activity involves Installation & Commissioning of total 7 MW ( 3 MW, 2 MW and 2 MW) Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant for our proposed project  at Karunkadal Village, Sathankulam Taluk, Thoothukudi. The project activities are commissioned on 16th of April 2019 and another two on 31st March 2022 and is operational.  The project activity developed by M/s Aadhav Green Power Pvt Ltd  and M/s Santhanalakshmi Renewable Energy Private Limited.

The electricity generated from the project replaces the grid electricity that is predominantly generated from fossil fuel-based power plants and thereby avoid associated GHG emission.

Additional Information

The project will approximately replace an anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG’s) 7,241 tCO2e per year, thereon displacing estimated of annual average of 7,778 MWh/year amount of electricity from the generation-mix of power plants connected to the Indian grid, which is mainly dominated by thermal/fossil fuel based power plant. Project activity will mitigate the total GHG emission reductions of 72,412 tCO2e over the total crediting period.
