Project Brief

My Home Industries Private Limited has started its operation in 1998 with production capacity of 500,000 Tonnes Per Annum (MTPA) cement capacity at Mellacheruvu Cement Works, Telangana. MHIPL has upgraded their plant to increase clinker production capacity and Mellacheruvu Cement Works unit prior to investment decision, currently has three kilns with individual processing capacities of 2400t/day (kiln1), 4000t/day (kiln2) and 4200t/day (kilnl3) respectively with aggregated processing capacity of 3.5MTPA. The project scenario is to develop the waste heat power generation project through the recovery and utilization of waste heat generated by all Preheaters (PH1, PH2, PH3) in line kiln1, kiln2 & kiln3 and AQC1, AQC2 and AQC3. The waste gas after extracting heat will be vented in atmosphere through Raw mill and coal section after cooling. The project has installed 6 high pressure and 3 low pressure heat recovery boilers with 1 set of single injection condensing turbine-generator unit with the installed capacity of 12.5 MW. The annual design power generation amounts to 76,650 MWh and yearly net power supply to cement plant is 68,985 MWh. The estimated annual average and the total CO2e emission reduction by the project activity over the first renewable crediting period of 10 years are expected to be 62,087 tCO2e and 620,870 tCO2e respectively.
