| Project Brief | The proposed project activity is the installation of 230 MW solar photovoltaic power plant/unit with the purpose of generation of clean electricity and contributing to achieve the requirements of the Green Economy Strategy of the country by harnessing the renewable “Solar Energy”. The project is being implemented in Navalakkapatti, Ettayapuram Taluk of Tuticorn (Thoothukudi) District of Tamil Nadu in India by NTPC Limited. |

| Additional Information | The electricity generated by the project “230 MW Ettayapuram Solar PV Project” will thus replace the equivalent amount of electricity generated by the operation of existing grid connected power plants (mostly fossil fuel-based power plants). In this scope, the project owner planned to install Solar Panels in with the purpose of contributing to the national economy. |
