Project Brief

The proposed project activity consists in the implementation and operation of a new wind electricity generation facility named Ventos da Bahia, and a new Photovoltaic electricity facility named Pirapora.
The Ventos da Bahia I Wind Farm was EDF EN DO BRASIL PARTICIPAÇÕES LTDA. first venture in Brazil. The Complex has 66 MW in operation since 2017. In December 2020, Omega Geração S.A., acquired 50% of the complex.
The complex, which is located in the municipalities of Mulungu do Morro and Bonito, 340 km from Salvador, in the state of Bahia, employs 22 horizontal-axis aerogenerators (model: Acciona AW3000), with total nominal capacity: 66 MW.
Meanwhile, Pirapora PV project is located in Minas Gerais State, in the municipality of Pirapora. The project consists of 11 adjacent PV plants with a nominal power between 27 and 30 MWac each one, with total nominal capacity: 321 MW. All plants connect with a common substation which is connected to the existing Pirapora 2 substation. In December 2018, Omega Geração S.A., acquired 50% of the complex.
