| Project Brief | The proposed project activity is the installation of a new grid-connected bundled 1405 MW solar power plant/unit at a site where no renewable power plant was operating prior to the implementation of the project activity (green-field plant). The project activity is bundled solar power project which is being implemented in different states of India by ACME Solar Holdings Private Limited. The electricity generated from project activity would be exported to the Indian grid in India or will be supplied to the identified facility via Indian grid through a contractual wheeling agreement for captive or third party sale consumption there by displacing the consumption of electricity from the regional grid electricity distribution system. The electricity generated by the project activity “ACME Solar Holdings Private Limited” will thus replace the equivalent amount of electricity generated by the operation of existing/ grid connected power plants (mostly fossil fuel based power plants) and by addition of new generation sources into the grid. The project developer “ACME Solar Holdings Private Limited” thus reduces the anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs) in to the atmosphere associated with the equivalent amount of electricity generation from the existing grid connected power plants (mostly fossil fuel) and by addition of new generation sources into the grid. |
