Project Brief | The purpose of the project is to help Türkiye to stimulate and commercialize the use of grid connected renewable energy technologies and markets. Furthermore, the project will demonstrate the viability of grid connected Wind farms which can support improved energy security, improved air quality, alternative sustainable energy futures, improved local livelihoods and sustainable renewable energy industry development.

Additional Information | Over the first 10 years crediting period, the project will replace anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG’s) estimated to be approximately 16,818 tCO2e/year for the project, thereon displacing 25,922 MWh/year (estimated annual average electricity generation) amount of electricity from the generation-mix of power plants connected to the Turkish grid, which is mainly dominated by thermal/fossil fuel-based power plant. Over the entire crediting period of 10 years, the project is expected to reduce 168,180 tCO2e. |
