Project Brief

Paryapt Solar Project is a greenfield 50 MWac Solar power plant being implemented in Gujarat, India by Paryapt Solar Energy Private Limited (“PSEPL”). The electricity generated by the project 50 MWac Paryapt Solar PV Project will thus replace the equivalent amount of electricity generated by the operation of existing grid connected power plants (mostly fossil fuel-based power plants). The estimated annual average electricity generation by the project activity is 96,794 MWh and the estimated annual average GHG emission reductions by the project activity is 90,067 tCO2e.

The Project Activity has created job opportunities for the local population on a temporary and permanent basis thus improving local economic activity and improving local living standards. The installation of the renewable energy project has also led to the development of basic infrastructure like roads, communication with the nearby cities etc. As the project utilises renewable resource to produce energy the project also contributes towards resource conservation and mitigating environmental degradation owing to its displacement of generation activities which utilise fossil fuels.
